Patricia Ann Castro

Patricia "Patsy" Castro, a longtime resident of Ridgecrest, CA. passed away peacefully on April 6, 2020 at the age of 73.  She was at her daughter's home surrounded by family after a long and courageous six-year battle with cancer.

She was born on March 16, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Patsy never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.  Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain.

Patsy loved all the "babies" in her family, they brought her so much love and joy. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.  Patsy had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Patsy is survived by her 5 children : Lynda Brown, Fred (& Denise) Castro, Anna (& Robert) Clinton, Cindy Castro, and Angela Castro; 9 grandchildren : BreAnna (& Daniel) Nokes , Desirae (& Desmond) Haywood, Maelyn Castro, Alyssia Clinton, Sylvia Clinton, Erik Wood, Gavin Castro, Chris Wood, and Vince Clinton; 8 great grandchildren : DeAnna Nokes , Julius Haywood, Dakoda Nokes , Darla Nokes , Kash Haywood, Kaine Haywood, and Rosaley Clinton; 2 sisters : Sheri (& Richard) Johnson, and Jackie (& Luis) Moody; and 4 nieces and nephews : Russell Austin, Randy(& Wendy) Austin, Matthew Johnson, and Sarah Johnson.   She was preceded in death by her angel baby/great grandson Trace Haywood.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date , to be determined.
