Long time resident Phillip H. Weeks (Phil) passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 31,2024 (Memorial Day) with loved ones around him. Phil was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Paul Weeks, his wife of 53 years Rowena Weeks, daughter Lori Fairbank, brothers Roger, Bud and Lowell Weeks. He is survived by his son Paul Weeks and wife Maryann. Grandchildren Kirt Firbank and wife Becky, Rhianna Weeks, and Phillip Weeks. Great grandchildren Julian Smith, Autumn Rose, Lillyanna, Phillip Paul (Buba), Killian, Beck, Jett, Aerica, Cy, Jessi and Paisley Rose. Great Great Grandchildren Hayden and Kameron Smith.
Phillip was born in Noble County Indiana and attended school at Wolfe Lake. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1956 mostly in Japan. After the military he married Rowena Loe and moved to Trona. After 25 years in Trona they moved to Ridgecrest. Phillip was a welder most of his career which included 35 years as a civil servant on China Lake Naval Weapons Center. His hobbies were Corral 14 wagon Train club with H.K. Holland, Chet St. Clair and many others. They would reenact the drive through Death Valley every year. He also loved making things like welding art. He never met a stranger and always had a smile and a joke to share.
