Raymond Lee Cole

August 15, 1940 — May 13, 2022

Mr. Raymond "Ray" Cole died at AVH on 05/13/2022 in Lancaster , CA at the age of 81. He is now in the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Raymond is survived by his; wife, Joan Cole, Children Michael Rice of Cambria, CA, Mark Rice of North Las Vegas, NV, David Cole of Spring Valley, CA and Chandra Cole of Ridgecrest, CA; by 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; by his Sister Anna Jelley of Ashland, OR, Sister Joan Thomas of Fort Rock, OR, Sister Rozena Harmon of Springfield, OR, and Brother John Cole of Houston, TX; He is preceded in death by Father Clyde Cole and Mother Martha Cole of Springfield, OR.

Raymond was born on August 15, 1940 in Alturas, CA to Clyde and Martha Cole. He married Joan Varland Rice, in 1967. Raymond served in the U S Navy for 22 years from 1957. After retiring from the Navy He and Joan lived in South Korea for 3 years working with the USAF, they traveled extensively in Asia during this time. Following this He lived in the United Kingdom working with the RAF for 4 years, He and Joan traveled extensively in Europe during this time. Following working in UK they moved to Ridgecrest . Ray and began working for CTA and EER as a Computer Programmer. His children/grandchildren remember him as a kind/patient father/grandfather who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

He was an active and dedicated member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Serving as a Deacon.

A memorial is scheduled for June 18 th 2022 @ 1100AM at Immanuel Baptist Church Ridgecrest, CA, with a reception to follow at same location. Pastor Bill Logan will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Raymond's life.
