Richard Douma

Richard Douma, Jr. died peacefully in his sleep at home in Ridgecrest, CA on April 5, 2018, at the age of 88 years of natural causes. Richard was born on March 12, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. Richard was preceded in death by wife Josephine A Douma in 1992, and daughter Nancy Jo Douma Lahmeyer in January this year. Richard is survived by son Bill Hesser and daughter Betty Jeanne Douma, six grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. Richard had a 27 year career in the U.S. Air Force, serving in many different locations in the world and throughout the U.S. during the Korean War and Vietnam War.


There will be a graveside memorial on Friday, April 13 at Desert Memorial Park at 12:00 Noon.
