Richard "Bear" Warren Keith

Richard Warren Keith, affectionately known as "Bear", passed away peacefully in his home May 24th, 2024, at the age of 77. Bear was born May 1st, 1947, at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas to Robert Warren Keith and Ruby Faye Keith. Bear graduated high school from Quanah High School in Quanah Texas in 1966. Bear made the move to Little Lake California In 1971 and began working the sawmill below Nine-mile canyon. In 1975 he began a forty two year career at the Naval Air Warfare Center in China Lake retiring from service from the NAVAIR Range Department in 2017.

Bear met the love of his life Asenath Joy Mitchell, aka Micki, at the Hut in Inyokern Ca, in 1971. They married in Las Vegas, NV. April 1977, recently celebrating 47 years of marriage. Bear and Micki raise two daughters, Lisa Michelle Large and Kimmie Dawn Large and enjoyed four grandchildren, Kody Warren Becker, Zachary Keith Petrovich, Kameron David Becker, and Chandler Michelle Petrovich and four great grandchildren Margot Marie Surprenant, Bentley Manuel Petrovich, Carson Keith Petrovich, and Rosalie Jean Petrovich.

A service of remembrance will be held 11:00AM, Saturday July 13, at Crossroads Community Church, 235 N China Lake Blvd. Ridgecrest Ca.
