Rodger Alan Baker, 59, of Ridgecrest Ca., passed away on March 14, 2024. His loss was completely unexpected, and his family is profoundly saddened.
Rodger was in the United States Army for 18 years and during that time he also served as an Army Ranger. For the past 10 years, he was a civil employee at China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station.
Rodger always had the best smile with a twinkle in his eyes, and he had the biggest heart and put everyone else first. He loved the RV life with his wife Doreen and tried to get in as much fishing as he could. He had a love for cars and Jeeps and was always trying to master the art of the BBQ and pizza oven. Rodger's favorite thing besides NASCAR was probably playing on the floor with his grandkids.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife Doreen; his children Moriah, Janna, Gabe, Jackelyn, and Jennifer; seven grandchildren, his parents Carol and Shelby; and his siblings Kathy, Jerry, Don, and Allen.
Services will be held at Holland and Lyons Mortuary on March 30, 2024 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend a reception at the VFW at 12:00 pm.
