Ronald Jerry Ballard

Heaven has gained an amazing Angel! Ronald J Ballard, my hero, my fix anything, build anything, never say no dad passed away July 29th, 2023 with his family by his side. Ron as he was known had a full life beginning in Santa Monica, CA, going to military school in primary, playing football and the trumpet in High School to joining the Army as part of the 82 Airborne and playing in the Army Band. He played in 3 Rose Parades and 1 presidential inauguration.

He worked at NAVAIR (known as Knots back then) for 20 plus years. He owned a few businesses here in Ridgecrest and sold real-estate for many years. His pride was his family: Daughter Joy & Rick Latour, Son Bill Ballard, grandsons David & Chelsea McGlade-Ballard, Jesse & Tina Lewis and his great-grandchildren Madisen, Alice, Ryan and Brantley: His sister Joyce Britain and her children have always been more our siblings than our cousins, Sheila Maday, Fred McLeroy and Mike Rogers. He will be missed by many and he will always and forever be in our hearts.

Grave side inurnment will be at Desert Memorial Park in Ridgecrest CA August 18th at 10:00 AM followed by the service and a luncheon at 1031 S. Norma St Ridgecrest, CA.
