Tammie A. Ferris Brunet, 56, of Ridgecrest, California, passed away at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital after a two and a half year battle with cancer. She was born December 22, 1968, in Long Beach, California to Walter and Patrisha Young Ferris.

At age 18, Tammie married the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Brunet on January 3, 1987. She was a loyal career Navy wife, loving mother and grandmother. After Gerald's Navy retirement they returned to Ridgecrest. At the time of her passing they shared almost 39 wonderful married years.

Tammie was known for her cheerfulness, kindness, and laughter. She loved cooking, crocheting, visiting National Parks and playing bingo, and volunteered at local civic organizations as a bingo helper, where she made several lasting friendships. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; Aunt and Godmother to daughter Ashley, Pamela Bracken. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Brunet) McKinley and her husband Matt; sons, Travis and Jeffrey; grandchildren Ariel and Ethan; brothers Gene Ferris, David Ferris and wife Jilleen, sisters Jodi Garcia and husband Ray, Ami Craig and husband Charlie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. on December 20, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Ridgecrest, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City of Hope, a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at City of Hope Antelope Valley, and the ER and ICU staff at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for their efforts in her cancer battle and comfort in her last moments.
