Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Theresa Anne Vigneault passed away in Ridgecrest, California on April 6, 2022.  She was 79 years-old.

Born in Port-au-Port, Newfoundland, Canada on January 20, 1943, Theresa grew up on western shores of the Canadian provincial island; the daughter of late John and Margaret Penney. At 18 years-old she met and married US Air Force Airman Ronald Vigneault in 1961, and moved to Vandenberg AFB the same year. Upon serving in the US Air Force, the couple moved to Ridgecrest, California where they raised their small family.  Theresa and Ron moved to Fairfield, CA in 1994, spending 13 years in the area. Upon Ron's passing, Theresa returned to Ridgecrest in 2007.

Theresa worked for the Sierra Sands Unified School District as a cafeteria manager for many years before retiring in June 1988.  Those who knew Theresa recall her as a kind motherly figure, with a heart of gold. She was a dedicated wife and mother, supporting her family in numerous activities. Theresa's greatest passion in life were her grandchildren.  It was not uncommon for Theresa to stop in local stores to talk to friends about her children and grandchildren. Her true love was definitely her family.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 2007.    She is survived by her daughter, Renee Vigneault of California, Maryland, and son David Vigneault and daughter-in-law Kyla Vigneault of Ridgecrest, CA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Lynch, Ethan and Beth Cubit, Evan Cubit, Grant Vigneault, Gavin and Sara Vigneault, and Avery Vigneault. Theresa was the great-grandmother to Max and Brody Lynch, Ari Wallace, Miles and Nadia Cubit, and Vanessa and Jackson Cubit. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gerard and David Penney, and sister Roxanne Marche.  She is survived by her brothers Gus Penney, Jack Penney, Terry Penney, Bill Penney, and sisters Monica Doucette and Joannie McCann.

A Memorial Mass will be held on May 14, 2022 at 12 Noon at St. Ann Catholic Church, located at 446 W. Church Avenue in Ridgecrest, CA.  A reception will follow at the Monsignor Cleary Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations supporting St. Ann Catholic School are encouraged.
