Twila Dawn Sampson

Twila Dawn Sampson passed away December 30th, 2023 at Bella Sera Nursing home at the remarkable age of 101. She was born September 1, 1922 in Butler, Pa. to Otis and Blanche Wolcott.

Twila visited Ridgecrest in the early 1950's, fell in love with the desert and soon became a lifelong resident.

Employment began at the Midway Cafe and included the Flower Shoppe. She became a licensed manicurist / pedicurist and later retired from the Telephone Company.

And Twila always volunteered at every opportunity.

She was a 50 year life-member of Desert Holly Chapter #547 Order of The Eastern Star and a 50 year life-member of The Daughters of the Nile.

Twila was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, Jack, Don and Gail and her sister Mary Lou Holly.  She is survived by her sister, Judy Jeffries and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024  11am at First Baptist Church of Ridgecrest, 1350 S. Downs Street. Pastor Jim Hammett will be officiating.
