Vickie Jo Forbes

Vickie Jo Forbes (Shumway) went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, April 8 ^th , 2022 at home with her husband, Scott, by her side. She was born May 20, 1956 in Orange, California to Gordan and Betty Shumway. She lived most of her life in Ridgecrest.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3 ^rd Ward.

Vickie's favorite place was on the water with her husband Scott. They enjoyed many boating adventures over the years. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was taken from us far too young and will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend to many.

Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Scott Forbes; 5 children, Lewis Sagendorph, Nicole Smith, Stephanie McCoy, Paul Forbes and Diana Forbes; Mother, Betty Shumway; Brother, Brian Shumway; Sister, Anita Walraven; and 10 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 23 ^rd , 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Anita's home located at 2400 Las Flores Ave. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Norris Cancer Center in Vickie's name.
