Victoriano Bios Orong

It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my husband and best friend, Victoriano Bios Orong.  Victor's family walked him home on June 12th 2024.  Victor first made Ridgecrest his home in 1981, when he came to work on the NAWS base at China Lake, Ca

Victor was born in Niles California to Victoriano Bios Orong and LaDora Ramos Orong on March 22, 1951.  He was the first of their eight children.

Victor loved life and took every opportunity to learn new things.  He was active in track and field in high school and continued to enjoy running throughout most of his life.  He also enjoyed scuba diving, hiking, skiing, skating, and dancing.

He loved traveling and sharing new adventures with Joy and daughters Michaela Ghent and Katie (Curt) Messer. Victor was a musician playing the bass guitar for multiple bands over the years, he also enjoyed teaching guitar.  Victor was also an artist; he did pen and ink as well as oil paintings.

He had a passion for knowledge, earning his Masters of Education, Masters of Arts in Health Science at San Diego State, Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Zoology at the University of Davis, and had completed his studies for his PhD in Technical Science.

He attended the Salvation Army Church prior to his illness.  Victor loved the Lord and woke every morning thanking Him for Life.  Victor treated everyone he met with respect and kindness.  Victor seen unlimited potential in everyone.  He was a gentle spirit always full of hope no matter what life handed him. He expanded our world, made it a safer place, a better place.  And as Victor would say "God Bless America"
